Overview

PowerSchool has an opportunity for an experienced salesperson to join our growing business development group. The Partner Development Executive is a quota-carrying position responsible for managing partner relationships and closing revenue generating partner opportunities.

This position is ideal for a creative, organized, and competitive individual who enjoys relationship management, driving deal cycles, and being directly involved with corporate strategy.

Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Act as a key thought partner, brainstorming & identifying solutions to challenges
  • Develop and build new business relationships with strategic ISV partners to drive increased opportunities for creating value and new business opportunities
  • Articulate the theses behind new partners, ensuring internal alignment prior to closing on new deals
  • Excellent research skills with proven ability to take creative approaches to establishing partnerships that intersect with different priorities of the business.

Business Development

  • Build and grow ISV qualified prospect pipeline
  • Schedule and deliver value prop presentations to ISV prospects
  • Maintain pipeline reporting for each phase of the sales cycle
  • Seek out and close on new partnership opportunities that bring joint benefit to both PowerSchool and the partner
  • Act as a consultative sales professional, identifying use cases and developing deal structures that maximize value for all parties involved
  • Own relationships with partners, including but not limited to growing the partnerships, facilitating contract discussions, and acting as an internal liaison for the partner as needed
  • Manage both new partner and partner renewal pipelines and forecasts

How You'll Succeed:

  • Act on retained experience of education technology industry
  • Build an intimate understanding of how PowerSchool solutions support end users and make alignments with potential ISV partner products
  • Pipeline growth target is achieved
  • Meet and exceed ISV revenue goals on a quarterly basis
  • Prepared for roles of additional responsibility

Qualifications

To be considered for and to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Experience

  • 7+ years' experience in K-12 technology Direct Sales or ISV Partnership Sales
  • Proven ability to sell to C-Suite decision makers, working at the highest levels of an organization
  • com CRM experience desired

Analytics

  • An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to review and analyze various contract issues with minimal direction
  • Utilize data and metrics to communicate needs with business unit owners
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical agility

Organization

  • Must be highly organized, be able to multi-task, and prioritize numerous deadlines and assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to work across the business, assessing business needs, and assisting in decisions as priorities change
  • Immaculate attention to detail
  • Sense of urgency with a "get it done" attitude

  • Ability to interact effectively with all corporate levels and departments within the company and with clientele
  • Highest level of integrity and management of confidential information
  • Ability to motivate, inspire and move others into action to achieve assigned goals.
