Nurse Practitioner | Family Practice Location: Herlong, CA Employer: Adelphi Locums Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Adelphi is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to provide services at a correctional facility in Herlong, California. The ideal candidates will provide comprehensive medical care to the inmate population while ensuring compliance with established healthcare standards. Job Quick Facts: • Ref: GS-4351-01 • Specialty: Nurse Practitioner- Primary Care • Location: Herlong, California • Facility Type: Correctional Facility • Job Type: Contract • Contract Term: Potential for a long term contract • Schedule: 40 hours/week, Shifts: 7am-3:30pm • Rate: $80/hr Requirements: • Valid, unrestricted NP license in California or Nevada • BLS (AHA) • Minimum 1–2 years of family medicine or urgent care experience Responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive medical and psychosocial assessments. • Manage acute and stable chronic conditions. • Perform physical, dental, and mental health examinations. • Administer medications and obtain IV access. • Provide emergency care and life-saving procedures. • Assist in minor surgical procedures (e.g., sutures, I&Ds, cyst removals). • Interpret diagnostic tests, labs, EKGs, radiographs. • Prescribe treatments/medications after physician consultation. • Document all patient interactions in electronic health records. • Work collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. • Maintain professional, ethical interactions with inmates. • Additional duties as assigned by facility.
