As a Clinical Lab Assistant I, you will play a vital role in specimen processing, testing preparation, and maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring smooth operation and accurate test results that contribute to quality patient outcomes. Perform routine and specialized specimen collection and processing. Follow lab procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting, and maintaining records of patient results. Maintain lab equipment in good working order, perform troubleshooting, and call for repairs when necessary. Comply with all safety, biohazard, and OSHA regulations and company policies. Collaborate with laboratory staff to maintain quality standards and efficient workflows. Assist in the resolution of patient and specimen orders that do not match. Proficient in the use of laboratory information systems. Strong understanding of safety and procedural protocols. Effective communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification as a Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) preferred.
