Job Opportunity – PACU Registered Nurse – Northern California Start Date: February 23, 2026 Location: Northern California Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Weekend coverage required; call shifts may include 1–2 weekday evenings (8:00 PM – 6:00 AM) and weekend coverage (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM); float requirements to Pre-Op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery areas Highlights: Comprehensive 40-hour orientation to support your success Work with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics Daily census of approximately 15 patients across all PACU phases Epic charting system experience required Broad surgical case mix including general, orthopedic, GYN, plastics, urology, ophthalmology, and more (excluding cardiac procedures) 13-week travel assignment with flexibility for one approved time-off period Requirements: Active California RN license in hand at time of submission Minimum 1 year of recent PACU nursing experience Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS Epic charting system experience required Proficiency in Pre-Op/Post-Op care, arterial line management, vascular access, Phase I and Phase II recovery Strong skills in dysrhythmia recognition, blood product administration, IV therapy, PICC line management, and procedural sedation monitoring Two supervisory references covering at least one year of comparable specialty experience within the past three years Willingness to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) Ability to float between units and potentially to affiliate facilities as needed Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to expand your perioperative skills across multiple PACU phases while caring for a diverse patient population in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
